Curriculum Mortis

Upon completing my Bachelor’s and, soon after, defending my PhD, I have applied to countless positions as a researcher, data scientist, and engineer, from both well-known and niche companies. This page, for future reference and for anyone interested, enumerates the offers and rejections I encountered along the way.

Offers.

  1. Rei do Pitaco (internal referral).
  2. Brandlovers (headhunted).
  3. Proffer (internal referral).
  4. MBZUAI (internal referral).
  5. Fundação CERTI (cold application).
  6. Helsinki University (cold application).

Rejections.

The list below contains the companies I have applied to, but for which I did not receive an offer. I am rarely invited for interviews. When I do, it often happens that the position I am applying for simply ceases to exist (i.e., the position is “put on hold”). For larger companies (e.g., Google, Microsoft, etc.), I submitted multiple applications.
